The Black Widow movie is getting closer to theaters, we have already seen its first and second trailer that have shown several characters in action, and have even revealed to us what the Taskmaster mask will look like. As we saw in Avengers: Endgame (SPOILERS), the Black Widow sacrifices herself to be able to obtain the soul gem and Iron Man also does so by using the Infinity gauntlet, so currently, these superheroes do not exist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For that reason, the film tells the events after Civil War, which means that obviously, agent Romanoff and Tony Stark are still alive in this new movie.
Because of this, there have been many rumors about whether Iron Man will appear on the tape, as it has come to light again a report that leaked in September 2019 through Deadline, which says that Robert Downey Jr. would appear once again as Tony Stark in the new Black Widow movie after officially leaving the contract he had with Marvel Studios, which ended in Avengers: Endgame. According to Comicbook, This has not yet been confirmed, and it is a very speculative rumor, as both Downey and Chris Evans announced their withdrawal from the study in 2019.
“We opted to do it, and we knew it was part of the job to get off the bus while heading to other destinations. There is something very sobering about it. I'm glad that he and I are there to welcome others when they remove their shirts.
Seeing Iron Man once again on movie screens would be an amazing surprise for fans, and this is one of the most logical moments in which I would have the opportunity to appear, since the film takes place years before Avengers: Endgame.
What do you think? Would you like to see Iron Man in the Black Widow movie?
