Jesper Fahey (Kit Young) is in the Netflix-Fant asy-Show “Shadow and Bone
In season 1 of the Netflix series “Shadow and Bone”, Jesper’s background story is not (yet) told, but the novels by master author Leigh Bardugo reveal that Jesper is actually a Grisha.
The likeable figure is a so-called one Durast from the class of material skis, which have the special ability to manipulate metal.
With the help of small art, Jesper always meets: He controls the metal in the balls.

However, Jesper was not trained as a Grisha of the 2nd Army in the Small Palace. His ancestors come from the land of Novyi Zem, a nation that lies beyond the True Sea and is African-inspired in the Grishaverse.
Jesper’s Grisha mother tragically died
Jesper’s mother was a Grisha and her son unconsciously uses his ability. His father implored Jesper to hide his strength and not to use it, as this was how his mother found her death.
However, the suppression of his ability to do small art makes Jesper restless. Grisha have to use their strength, otherwise they will fall ill. His addiction to gambling arises from Jesper’s restlessness!
In later seasons of the Netflix series “Shadow and Bone” it will probably be shown how Jesper consciously (more) uses his Grisha abilities. Then can the formidable sniper can even shoot bullets around corners!
