Despite the arrival of a new player in the GPU market (not to mention Intel), we must not forget about the pillars of the industry such as AMD. Whoever talks about him today is talking about a specific Radeon RX 7900.
It’s no longer a secret, the first AMD graphics cards under RDNA 3 architecture should arrive (except in cases of force majeure) by the end of the year. And it was Lisa Su herself (CEO of AMD) who reiterated all of this last February, acting as a bit of gospel.
A “leak” that brings details.
It was a Twitter user named Kepler who found some interesting information. See instead:
This changelog update doesn’t actually bring any juicy new details as one might expect. But it confirms that the RDNA3 architecture is indeed planned for this year. In addition, the note also explicitly mentions the SoC 21, designation (most likely) of the Navi 31 GPU.
An AMD card under the tree?
At the heart of the future Radeon RX 7900 product will be the AMD Navi 31 GPU (new generation from AMD), the manufacturer’s top model. In conclusion, we should logically have the right to RX 7900 by the end of the year. At least we hope so, if component shortages don’t spoil the party.
If AMD actually releases its new GPU generation this year, would you be ready to crack? Or do you want to turn to Intel or Nvidia?
