It looks like Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters is finally coming to consoles

Coming, consoles, Fantasy, Final, finally, Pixel, remasters

it looks like final fantasy pixel remake After a year as a Steam exclusive, it’s finally coming to consoles.

You’d think that some simple remakes of the first six Final Fantasy games would be a surefire winner for at least the Nintendo Switch version. It would be a good business decision Square Enix, but this is also the company that insists on advancing the blockchain bullshit, so whoever says what is the right call. Fortunately for us though, it seems to have gained some meaning after all, as it looks like remasters of the PS4 and Switch versions are on the way.

As spotted by deal wizard and news aggregator Wario64, all six Final Fantasy Pixel Remakes have been rated by the ESRB for PS4 and Switch. Obviously, this hasn’t been officially revealed by Square Enix, but it’s common for rating boards to leak game announcements ahead of time.

The Final Fantasy 35th Anniversary event kicks off tomorrow (December 13) and will run live until December 18, so it’s entirely possible that the Pixel Remaster port will be announced sometime during the event. Don’t expect any big news though, as gaming anniversaries in Japan are usually just general celebrations rather than a chance to show off anything in particular. Although obviously we’re all hopeful that Square Enix will show more of Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth.

While these ports are currently unconfirmed, we do know what’s in store for Square Enix’s near- and mid-term future. Forspoken is due out next month, and it even has a demo on PS5 that you can check out right now (you can also read why the game can’t come to PS4 too). Plus, we now also have a release date for Final Fantasy XVI, which will be out in June next year.
