News culture It was one of the most bizarre and raunchy films of the 2010s: it’s getting a sequel on Prime Video this summer
The trashy animated film Sausage Party, a real hit of 2016, is entitled to a sequel, which should be released soon on Prime Video.
The Sausage Fair by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg
In 2016, the screenwriting duo Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg decided to enter animated cinema with a rather curious project: Sausage party. Despite its form, the film had nothing to do with a mainstream feature film. Trash and subversive, Sausage Party: The Private Life of Foodtells the story of a sausage that gets stuck in a supermarket, where the various products have a huge orgy. A completely crazy project, supported by an all-star cast, which stood out at the box office by grossing over 140 million dollars against a budget of 19 million dollars. And eight years after this success Sausage party‘ must now return to Prime Video in a different form. A first necessarily tendentious image has already been shared.
The sequel will be released on Prime Video
Announced last year, the animated series Sausage Party: Foodtopia is set to hit Prime Video very soon. We still know little about this new eight-part project. The series was intended to be presented as a sequel to the film and would bring together most of the original cast: Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Michael Cera, David Krumholtz and Edward Norton. According to Seth Rogen, Foodtopia will be “incredibly shocking” and should therefore push the boundaries of the first film even further. Amazon obviously supports the author and is working with him again after his success The young et Invincible. The date is set for July 11th on Prime Video.
