Starting today, Netflix subscribers can discover Season 3 of The Witcher series. It marks the return of the witcher Geralt of Rivia, but also the final appearance of his interpreter, Henry Cavill.

Season 3 of The Witcher is available on Netflix today. We find there the witcher Geralt of Rivia in new adventures. He is accompanied by the witch Yennefer von Vengerberg, who is in charge of Ciri’s education. The latter must learn more about their powers, but also control them. Only an invitation to the Aretuza (the academy of magicians) and political conspiracies thwart our trio’s plans. This new installment has some peculiarities, especially because the series is divided into two parts. As explained, five episodes are already available as of this morning, but the second part will not land until July 27th.

Producer Lauren Hissrich explained that splitting up the show is a good thing. “For any fans who have read Book 4 of The Witcher: Season of Spites, there is an epic event that will rock the continent as we know it – it provides the perfect cliffhanger,” she explained in comments reported on became The Redanian Secret Service The second peculiarity concerns Henry Cavill, who gives his moves to the witcher. After several disagreements with the production, he will be retiring from the series with this third season.

Henry Cavill’s Last

Henry Cavill will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth (Hunger Games) in Season 4 of The Witcher. The reasons for the actor’s departure are still very vague. According to several rumours, he decided to leave the series when he saw Netflix moving away from the original work of which he is a huge fan. Though a picture of Hemsworth hasn’t aired yet, fans are wondering how the show will justify Cavill’s replacement. In the words of producer Tomasz Bagiński in an interview with Yahoo News, the transition will be “perfect”. “We have a very, very good plan to introduce Liam to our new Geralt and our new vision of the witcher,” he said. This won’t be the only change Monster Hunter will go through. The Netflix teams had previously stated that the character of Ciri would be the center of attention and would become the main character.
