As usual, Sony offered three games to PlayStation Plus subscribers in December 2021. It soon turned out that it was more about “two and a half games” than three really full titles. For the first month of the new year, the Japanese giant “offers” its subscribers three games again. And two of them are cross-gen PS4-PS5 creations.
It could well be that the “free” games of the PlayStation Plus for the month of January 2022 have just been leaked. As is “traditional” the information came from a user of the French site Dealabs
The menu of the monthly leak should therefore be about two cross-gen PS5-PS4 games and a PS4 game. One of his titles will also appear on PlayStation consoles for the first time on this occasion. For the impatient, here is the list of games on offer in this first month of the new year.
PS5-PS4:
Deep Rock Galactic is a game that emphasizes destruction. This is an FPS set in a science fiction universe and playable in co-op. It contains space gnomes and aliens. Everything in procedurally generated caves.
DiRT 5 is the newest installment in the popular rally game series. The game offers new features as well as more options in terms of vehicle customization.
PS4:
Persona 5 Strikers is a spin-off of the original Persona 5. This title is not an RPG, but a Beat ’em All from the Musô series. The beloved heroes of Persona 5 are back in an original adventure.
These titles would be offered from January 4th to February 1st. It is not yet clear whether these are the full versions of the games. Or when, as with Godfall in 2021, it comes to amputated versions of part of their content.
As usual and as reliable as dealabs are, this information should be viewed with caution until the official announcement by Sony. If the custom is respected it will certainly be necessary to wait a few days before this story ends.
