The arrival of the new PlayStation Plus formulas has caused a flight of millions of subscribers that the Japanese company wants to win back. And what could be better than giving away three big popular free games to kick off the new year? Here’s the official list of titles coming to PS Plus for January 2023.
Free PS Plus games confirmed for January 2023
The January 2023 PS Plus Essential games are official. Once again the nice surprise was spoiled thanks to our Delicious national billbil-kun, who announced the line-up for early next year in advance. It is still an error for the Dealabs member. From January 3rd to February 7th, 2023 at 11am French time, PS5 and PS4 players can therefore access a new trio of games. On the program was a single-player game, long considered the best adaptation of Star Wars, the sequel to a very popular independent title and an MMORPG from Bethesda with a chaotic start that managed to recover and unite millions of players. Without further ado, here are the free PS Plus games for January 2023:
A selection that promises great hours of play as far as the eye can see, in the company of your friends or alone. So you have just under a week to grab the five titles offered last month, namely Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Biomutant and Divine Knockout. The PS Plus Extra program will be announced mid-month.

Developed by Respawn Entertainment, the introductory game of this new saga puts you in the shoes of an abandoned Padawan who must, at any cost, end his training, learn to master the lightsaber and develop new Force abilities. The title offers a more innovative and intuitive lightsaber combat system than other video game adaptations by allowing you to hit, parry and dodge enemy attacks. Fans will find iconic environments from the saga and discover a new part of the franchise’s story.
Fallout 76
Released in 2018, Fallout 76 has come a long way since its painful launch. New content, life-saving expansions, bug fixes, new features, improvements to existing mechanics – the game has changed tremendously since then and PS Plus will allow players to discover it for themselves. The MMORPG takes place 25 years after the bombings that caused the fall of the United States. You play as the first inhabitant of Vault 76 who sets out to explore the wasteland and help rebuild society alone or with your friends. It’s up to you to discover the mysteries of West Virginia by participating in a main quest, gathering as many resources as possible to build your own CAMP, or facing formidable enemies in a group.

This third free game of January 2023 PS Plus Essential is a little more confidential. A direct sequel to the award-winning game that became a benchmark in the indie scene, Axiom Verge 2 expands on the core universe by introducing new characters, all-new features, and all-new abilities. Explore a vast alternate Earth-like world, hack machines, fight all sorts of monsters and delve deep into an alternate reality. The title has received many positive reviews from both the press and gamers. It’ll keep you going for almost ten straight hours, a little less than fifteen to do all the extras.
