Jean-Claude Van Damme was the Belgian actor who became a star in Hollywood. JCVD is not a personality like the others and has left his mark on the 7th art in his own way with his exaggerated acting and his emblematic kicks of 90s action cinema. His career then took a turn for the worse in the early 2000s before rising from the ashes a decade later. A certain film and commercial brought Van Damme back into the spotlight.
Born on October 18, 1960 in Belgium, Jean-Claude Van Damme became a popular actor in Hollywood in the late 1980s and early 1990s., particularly known for his martial prowess in commercial and/or critical successes such as Cyborg (1989), Kickboxer (1989), Full Contact (1990), Coups sur Coups (1990), Double Impact (1991) and Universal Soldier (1992) . ). The epic division
A year after his fight with Sylvester Stallone, Jean-Claude Van Damme set the Internet in a frenzy on November 14, 2013 with an ad for Volvo Trucks that will make the actor’s fans laugh (see video above), but not only that. 1 minute and 16 seconds long JCVD stands in a facial split (the famous “split” that made him equally famous) between two trucks that are slowly moving away from each other to ultimately witness “The Epic Split” several meters above the ground.
While’An interview granted to our colleagues at USA Today, Anders Vilhelmsson, PR manager at Volvo Trucks, returned to Jean-Claude-Vandamme’s performance and confirmed that the performance was achieved in real time and without special effects. JCVD is of course attached to a rope to secure him and prevent him from going under the wheels of one of the trucks, while his feet rest on two specially designed platforms, but otherwise… everything is correct!
