Notice: Spoilers for the Shinjuku Grim Battle arc of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga
In addition to Boku no Hero Academia, one of the mangas that hopes to close its story in style this year is Jujutsu Kaisen. Dark Battle Arc in Shinjuku seems to be slowly coming to an end, but if some are expecting an epilogue similar to that of Kohei Horikoshi’s work, Akutami has made it clear that this will not be the case.
At an exhibition of Jujutsu Kaisenwhich has also been echoed by our colleagues at EspinofAkutami commented on the Battle of Shinjuku arc, noting in parentheses that it is the final arc of the hit sorcerer manga.
The mangaka explained that the Journey to Extinction arc was necessary to make way for the final stretch of the work, where all the important characters would show up to face the main villain of the series: “I considered it as a necessary vehicle for the Grim Battle Arc in Shinjuku (the final arc).”
