A new Jiu-Jitsu Kaisen game was announced at Bandai Namco’s Showcase yesterday, bringing the popular anime to the realm of 3D.
The new game, called Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash and developed by Byking, is a 2v2, 3D action fighting game. Byking previously made My Hero Academia Justice, a 3D arena fighting game based on My Hero Academia, so we might expect something similar for Clash of the Damned. While a release date has yet to be announced, the game will be available both physically and digitally on PS5 and Nintendo Switch, but will only be available digitally on PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
“The game is a 3D action fighting game where players assemble a team from anime con tortionists and cursed spirits and unleash powerful attacks in 2v2 battles using the series’ famous ‘cursed techniques’ ,” read the media’s description of the game. release. “The arena brawls in Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash allow fans to experience and relive the original story and action of Jujutsu Kaisen, as protag onist Yuji Itatori and a cast of unforgettable characters defend humanity from the “Cursed” by monsters.”
You’ll have 15 fighters to choose from, and the announcement trailer confirms Yuji Itatori, Nohara Kizaki, Megumi Fushiguro, and Satoru Gojo as playable characters. It’s not clear from the gameplay exactly how the 2v2 battles will work, but the press release notes that different “combinations of characters will have unique synergies and power dynamics. By completing battles, players can increase the fighter’s power level and unlock more powerful attacks.” They improved.” From the looks of it, you should probably expect gameplay like the one in the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series.
As Gematsu points out, more information on the game will be shared later today (July 2) on Jujutsu Kaisen’s panel at Anime Expo, so keep an eye out for details on what’s released there.
