In 2008, Dead Space brought a breath of fresh air to the large survival horror family. For a long time, only the Resident Evil license managed to convince fans in the long run. In the late 2000s, Electronic Arts Capcom took away that supremacy with its all-new game, but the indirect connection between the franchises remains strong. Indeed, the creators of the game that will make you shiver in space, Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey admitted it was the cult Resident Evil 4 that inspired them. Shinji Mikami’s game, released 3 years earlier, had reshuffled the terrible playing cards. With his trilogy, the adventures of Isaac Clarke become his fiercest rival. With 3 games released in 5 years, the Dead Space saga has been dormant for a while. In 2023, 10 years after the release of the third opus, a remake should see the light of day.
