Although Marvel Studios is fully occupied with the release of Deadpool and Wolverine, the company is already preparing the ground for the arrival of The Fantastic FourThe First Family’s time in the big screen over the years hasn’t been the best, but it seems that this time we’ll have the definitive adaptation thanks to a concept that wasn’t adequately considered in previous films.
In an interview with the American media CinemaBlendMarvel Studios president, Kevin Feigespoke about the importance of special effects in this film. Although this will be vital, the filmmaker has revealed another key concept for the success of this production: family.
“It’s about family. It’s about that dynamic. So by the time we got that cast that we announced, 90 percent of the work was done. That’s what the movie is all about.”
Obviously, seeing Reed Richards and company in action will be one of the big draws of the film, but the most important thing for Feige will be to show the family dynamic between the protagonists, something that has barely been seen in previous installments and that will be crucial, above all, for the future of this group in the MCU.
Although it has not been confirmed, it is very likely that in the next few years we will see the birth of Reed and Sue’s children: Franklin and Valeria Richards. Both will be very important for future projects, as it is likely that they will be part of the Futura Foundation, a philanthropic organization created by Mr. Fantastic and led by several well-known superheroes.
