It was the first Kingdom Hearts can use a full beating Dance Dance Revolution 2 Pad, as Twitch streamers attest.
While we’re all waiting for the next two installments of Kingdom Hearts, some players have taken the liberty of proving that there’s more than one way to beat the game (via PCGamesN). Twitch streamer MomoPkmn95, inspired by the stupid ways players beat the game, decided to try something similar and set out to beat the original Kingdom Hearts with a DDR2 dance pad.
“I started getting curious about using a dance pad as a PS2 controller,” MomoPkmn95 explained to PCGamesN. “The idea worked, but it was very limited.” Streamers had to put some effort into getting “the right PC setup,” but once they had what they needed, they decided to make it happen. In the end, MomoPkmn95 even managed to defeat all the super bosses in the game.
If you’re not too familiar with the Kingdom Hearts series, you might take a look at it, see the friendly faces of Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse, and think “baby games” a bit to be fair. Anyone who’s slightly familiar with it knows it’s a bunch of shit, especially those who’ve run into some super bosses in the game.
The first game features a number of extremely challenging fights, including Sephiroth, the man with the most extravagant hair in video games, and Kurt Zisa, the boss named after the New Yorker who won the game.
However, MomoPkmn95 managed to pull off the already challenging feat of defeating all the super bosses in the game using the dance mat, in addition to playing the entire game. You can check out a compilation of the super bosses below, or head over to MomoPkmn95’s YouTube channel to watch their game-beating finale.
