Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link was announced back in April 2022 and will be the new mobile entry in the series. Set in Scala ad Caelum, the game will fill in the gaps between previous mobile entries Kingdom Hearts, Union X, and Dark Road stories.
Kingdom Hearts 4 was announced alongside the mobile game, apparently overshadowing it, and while we don’t have a release date yet, it was initially said that Missing-Link would begin beta testing this winter. Alas, we’re well into winter, and we now finally have updates on various games.
Game director and designer Tetsuya Nomura revealed on December 19 on the Kingdom Hearts Dark Roads Twitter account that recruitment for the Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link playtest is now open. Registration for beta testing will be until December 26You have a small window of just a few days to try your luck.
We will be recruiting for “Missing-Link” prototype testing starting today. Check out the details below https://t.co/EBqZLskGzG
This time it will be a prototype test, verifying limited functionality only on a small scale, instead of the usual CBT (Closed Test). We will inform you again about the official CBT @ Nomura#KHML pic.twitter.com/devKZFVjdS— Kingdom Hearts DR official (@KHDR_PR) December 19, 2022
Kingdom Hearts is a confusing yet beloved series that brings together characters from Disney, Pixar, Final Fantasy and more as they embark on their own adventures together. With Kingdom Hearts 4 in development, Missing-Link might not catch your eye that much. However, if you’ve played Union X and Dark Road, then this game is undoubtedly the one you’ve been waiting for.
If you’d like to sign up for the Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link beta, you have until Monday to register your interest via Square Enix’s registration page. Let us know if you’d like to try it!
