Konami will not participate in E3 2021.
According to Konami’s official announcement, it seems that the company is a bit busy participating in E3 2021.
The company said it is currently conducting “deep development” on multiple projects.
“Due to timing, we will not be prepared to show it at E3 this year,” Read the statement. “We want to reassure our supporters that we are conducting in-depth development on several key projects, so please stay tuned for some updates in the coming months.
“Although we did not participate this year, we respect ESA very much and know that 2021 will be a great success. We will continue to support ESA and express our best wishes to all participants at this year’s exhibition.”
As early as April, it was announced that Konami was one of the eight companies participating in the event.
Other companies planning to support E3 include Capcom, Koxck Media, Microsoft, Nintendo, Take-Two, Warner and Ubisoft, the latter will host its Ubisoft Forward event at the show.
Konami is currently working with GuruGuru to develop “GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon”, which is a follow-up to the Japanese-only Famicom game launched in 1987.
