Some games don’t give a fuck about discounts. This included RimWorld for years, for example, before it gave up the strict pricing policy for the Steam Summer Sale 2020. At Factorio, on the other hand, nothing seems to be moving down, quite the opposite.
From 20 dollars to the Early Access release, the price climbed steadily in five-euro increments to 30 dollars most recently. This sum is still valid until Thursday 26 January 2023.
Then Factorio will be available on Steam, GOG and Nintendo Switch 35 Euro costs. So if you’ve always wanted to have the building game: the time window for the old price will close shortly.
Why the price increase now?
So far, the price of the popular factory building game has increased steadily, according to the developers, to accommodate the growing content and improved refinement. After all, since the early access release, the game has received regular free updates for all owners.
The hype surrounding Factorio also moved other developers. As the most famous Clone

In addition, developer Wube Software continued work on Factorio even after the full release. Since no successor or DLC has been released so far, the game is probably the most important source of income for the company.
The latest price increase is being implemented to combat inflation since it was originally released on Steam in 2016, as the developers explain on Twitter:
