a new video Sonic Frontier is available, it provides a view of the battle.
The video also covers skill trees and upgrades.
The game features a new combat system and skill tree upgrades that allow you to fight strategically. You can combine moves like dodging, parrying, counter-attacking, combos, and the new Cyloop ability to take down enemies and titans.
Sonic Frontiers will mark the first time a skill tree has been included in a Sonic game. It allows for powerful new abilities that can be unlocked by collecting enough skill shards from fallen enemies as well as breakables around the island (thanks Gematsu).
Sonic’s standard moves such as Home Attack, Drop Dash and Stomp are available at the start of the game. While effective against normal enemies, you need to level up and gain new skills to deal with stronger enemies. To prepare for the latter, be sure to collect as many Red Power Seeds and Blue Defense Seeds as possible to boost your stats.
As you progress and level up in the game, so will your enemies. Combos are great for gaining the upper hand in battle and are even better combined with the new ability Phantom Rush.
The combo count fills up after hitting enemies in a row, and once it reaches the maximum value, Phan tom Dash is activated. This increases your attack power until the meter reaches zero. If you want to deal more damage, you can use a sonic boom, a long-range, high-speed kick that creates a shockwave for a short period of time.
Another move, Wild Rush, produces a twisting attack that sends Sonic slamming into a target with enormous force.
You can also parry enemy moves, and visual cues let you know when an enemy is about to attack. Reacting fast enough will allow you to parry and follow up on counterattacks.
Sonic Frontiers will release on November 8 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
