But what exactly has changed in Hyrule? First, players will be able to receive in-game items if they launch The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom through a specific Switch News Channel article.
This is done through the main menu rather than in-game. It’s also worth noting that depending on where the link was when the game was opened, some in-game items may not be accessible; so keep that in mind if you run into any issues.
Most importantly, the game progression issues that were plaguing some players are now finally fixed. In some cases, players were unable to make any progress in the main quests; this affected the quests “Mystery of the Abyss”, “Secrets of the Ring Ruins”, “Hartnow Village Research Laboratory”, “Lurilin Village Restoration Project” , “Find Its Dye”, “Village Raided by Pirates”, “Find the Pirate Hideout”, and “Incomplete Stables”. There are a lot of quests where you might run into problems, but you don’t have to worry anymore!
The last few fixes involved addressing an issue where fairies weren’t appearing when they were supposed to, and Kiyana’s meals in Lurilin Village will now change when they should. Beyond that, Nintendo said it fixed several other issues to improve the gaming experience, but didn’t provide any further details, so we can only imagine what these subtle fixes might be.
