The Witcher is one of the most popular Netflix series today, it is already working on a second season, but many fans wonder how long this series will be broadcasting. While some time ago Lauren S. Hissrich said she had plans for up to 7 seasons if everything was going well, that thought still remains, because at the end of last year the producer was in an interview with Collider, where she shared several details about the Future of The Witcher on Netflix.
Just in this interview Hissrich has clarified that she mentioned a while ago about the 7 seasons, but it also explains that everything depends on how the trajectory of the story unfolds and that obviously makes sense. Then we leave you what the producer of the series said.
«It's a delicate dance because you have to be able to know where you're going. Your stories need an end point. They need an address to point to. But you also have to leave room to let things grow and develop organically. There are characters, for example, that we met in Season 1, and we got them. the screen and they were electric, so we started writing their stories and we thought, "Oh my God, there is so much more here. Therefore, you should also leave room for that to grow and develop. I'm sure, at some point, that I said I could write seven seasons, but I'm also sure that I said I could write 20 seasons. I will continue writing this series, whenever it makes sense to write this series. That means taking, organically, from the books and allowing the story to flow, but then also allowing the story to end when necessary. ”
So will it be 7 or 20 seasons? As Hissrich says, it is a complicated issue, because they can make the series air for a long time or for a standard time. At the moment, he cannot say exactly how many seasons he will have, because it is important to see how the story unfolds and what path he will take in the future, that is how things will be taken, and of course, it all depends on how he receives them public. Although Hissrich has not confirmed anything, it seems that they have about 7 seasons in mind, it is the most logical because of the popularity of the series, so the fans of the franchise can sleep peacefully knowing that there is a long way to go. Similarly, we must wait for the right time to know specifically how many seasons they will be.
