AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution, or FSR for short, is slated for release on June 22nd and provide more frames per second in games with support. Twitter users and hardware leakers Vegeta @ Broly_X1 (via Videocardz, Tweet has since been removed) has now published a list of corresponding titles. According to this, seven games should already support the upscaler on the day of FSR’s launch and twelve more to follow in the near future.

Games that supposedly support FSR

FSR should dominate these seven games at launch:

These twelve games should soon be mastered by FSR:

Developers and publishers who reportedly support FSR

In addition, there are a number of developers and publishers who are already working with AMD on FSR and corresponding adaptations. Including names like Ubisoft, Warner Bros. What can we expect from FSR?

Not much is known about the technical details. However, we know that, unlike Nvidia’s DLSS, FSR does not use any special processing cores. It is unclear to what extent AI models or machine learning play a role or whether filters are used.

FSR is particularly interesting because it should work with both AMD and Nvidia graphics chips.

Nvidia’s proprietary DLSS is now available in version 2.2. The biggest leap in development was DLSS 2.0. Since then, the AI upscaler has been considered a real game changer, which can not only drastically increase the performance in corresponding titles, but also offer quality at the level of native rendering.

Of course, it cannot be said whether AMD will have comparable start-up problems with FSR. Reaching the quality of DLSS is another matter. In our opinion, this should be difficult, especially at the beginning.
