Xbox There have been attempts to let subscribers share Game Pass with family members lately, but a recent leak suggests you can do it with friends too.

Earlier this month, Microsoft began testing the Game Pass family plan in Colombia and Ireland, allowing you to share Game Pass benefits with your family. However, according to The Verge, some brands of the program have leaked, suggesting that the program is not limited to family members, but friends as well.

As leaker Aggiornamenti Lumia shared, sharing the brand, simply called “Friends and Family,” strongly suggests that the brand will be more than just a family member when it launches. This will make things easier since registering your friend as a family member can cause problems somewhere.

Currently, in Ireland, the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate family plan costs $21.99, which is slightly less than the usual $12.99. You can obviously cover the cost yourself and share it with your four friends or family, but even just splitting the cost with another person can save you 2 dollars. If you have four friends with whom you regularly exchange money, it’s only $4.39 per month per person, which is a ridiculously good deal for something as broad as Game Pass.

Either way, that means up to five people will subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which gives you access to online multiplayer, Game Pass on console and PC, and EA Play access permissions.

With a subscription, you also get access to Xbox cloud gaming, and while it’s only available for some tiles, you can play a range of games on a variety of devices, including your phone. This in turn makes Game Pass sound like a good deal for around £5.
