In 2021, Ubisoft announced that Division 2 studio Massive Entertainment was working on a new Star Wars game. After this announcement, however, it became quiet about the open world hope. Now there are new signs of life, although not from the official side.
We already know the new feature
After Ubisoft itself caused confusion about the progress of Project 2023 at the turn of the year, the first leaks for the upcoming Star Wars game follow as if shot through hyperspace. If you are familiar with No Man’s Sky, the feature described in it will seem familiar.
What is the leak talking about?
The site known for its often accurate reports Insider Gaming writes, that the upcoming Star Wars game should allow a seamless transition between planets. So you can get in your spaceship, jet to Planet XY and get out again without seeing a single annoying loading screen.
It seems like the Force is strong in the Snowdrop engine used in the game. This feature sets Ubisoft’s star saga game apart from its competitor, Starfield, which, despite fan requests to the contrary, does not include such a feature. What Starfield offers and what not, we have summarized for you in the video:

How serious is the leak?
As mentioned, the leak came from Insider Gaming, the website of industry insider Tom Henderson. It is considered to be well networked and can therefore be classified as relatively serious, but it can still be wrong. So caution is advised.
What else is known about Ubisoft’s project
It has already been officially confirmed that the new Star Wars game will not be released in 2023. A developer’s recent tweet promising a “huge 2023 for us” was only intended to encourage other developers to collaborate on the project. At the same time, the tweet indirectly indicates that new information about the major Ubisoft project will come to light in 2023. So we can be excited about what’s in store for us this year.
