In a press release today, Riot Games announced the upcoming beta launch of the trading card game Legends of Runeterra. From January 23, 2020 all interested and LoL fans will be able to enjoy the open beta of the strategic card game and get an idea of the title for themselves.
Another preview patch had previously been planned for the title at the end of January, to which only pre-registered players had access by lottery. In the meantime, however, the developer studio has changed its mind and decided that anyone who played during the pre-show patches or who pre-registered on the PC by January 20 at 8:59 a.m.CET will have access to the beta from January 23 ,
The open beta will then officially start on the following day, January 24, at 8:00 p.m. CET. Then all those interested could join in, who create a new account without pre-registration, download the client and get started for free.
Important in this context: The accounts have been reset again since the preview patch in November, but now there should be no further such reset. Everything you earn during the beta may be kept, even if the game officially starts. Game content purchased with coins has also been reset, but the purchase price will be fully refunded.
And: With the open beta, the new ranking system also starts. There are also new playing fields, protectors, a friend list and a PvP mode for duels with friends.
