LEGO announces it will be delayed Overwatch 2 Titan Set Because it’s currently reviewing its partnership with Activision Blizzard.
The LEGO Overwatch 2 Titan (76980) is slated for a February 1 release, revealed in December, and the Titan will be the first in a series launching this year. However, due to the ongoing situation with ActiBlizz, LEGO has now decided to delay Titan.
“We are currently reviewing our partnership with Activision Blizzard as we are concerned about progress made in addressing ongoing allegations about workplace culture, particularly the treatment of female colleagues and creating an environment of diversity and inclusion,” the statement said. “While we complete our review, we are suspending the release of LEGO Overwatch 2 products originally scheduled for February 1, 2022.
Things have been bad for Activision Blizzard since the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing filed a lawsuit over allegations of discrimination and sexual harassment.
Six U.S. state treasurers have since pressured the company through meetings with board members to respond to the sexual harassment scandal, and while the company appears to be trying to get on the right track and firing several key figures, recent union scrutiny Sabotaging those efforts calls into question how serious the company is in improving its workplace practices.
