After numerous rumors and at least one leak, the official LEGO The Legend of Zelda The set has been officially revealed.
The biggest problem with Lego is that it’s easy to see a set and think “gosh, that would be fun to build, maybe I should buy one”. What’s the problem with that, you ask? Because Lego is expensive, and this new Legend of Zelda 2-in-1 Great Deku Tree set is no exception, costing £260/$300. However, damn, of course I want it, because it’s Zelda, it’s Lego, and it’s the first Lego Zelda set! You can see a short trailer showing off the set below, highlighting that it’s a set based on the Great Deku Tree from Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild, with the option to build either version.

Other than that, there are some great little pieces. There are four minifigures, one Link from Breath of the Wild, one Zelda, and two Links from Ocarina of Time, young and adult. There are also some really fun sculpts of Korok and Hestu from Breath of the Wild, and some nasty Deku Baba plants and a baby version of the Deku Tree from Ocarina of Time. It’s a really fun little set, and yes, I’m considering contacting my bank so I can get a loan to buy it, why do you ask?

“I’m very excited that The Legend of Zelda is joining the world of LEGO bricks, which has inspired many people of all ages to create,” said Eiji Aonuma, series producer at The Legend of Zelda, in a statement. “The Deku Tree is the first element from The Legend of Zelda that we wanted to represent with LEGO bricks.”
“This set lets you build two different versions of the Deku Tree from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, with unique features that are perfect for the nature of the series. I can’t wait for everyone to have a chance to build this part of The Legend of Zelda world for themselves.”
The Big Deku Tree set is also coming soon, as it will be shipping later this year on September 1st. It’s sure to be popular as well, so if you can, consider pre-ordering it while it’s still in stock.
