LEGO Fortnite players are obsessed with airships. After all, who wants to climb a mountain or run a long way to a cave when you can fly there? The creativity shown by The Legend of Zelda engineers with Tears of the Kingdom seems to be coming back to life again.
Just take a quick look at any LEGO Fortnite community hub (be it Reddit, Discord, or Twitter) to find countless examples of players soaring across the land. The way most airships work is actually pretty simple. You attach boosters to each side of the ship to allow directional travel, switches to turn those boosters on and off, and finally some balloons to send objects up into the sky.

By now, there are a lot of airships to choose from. Simple airships are popular, as are quick video tutorials on how to make one. Since then, the creators have gone even crazier – vastly expanding the airship’s surface area to better transport loot.
Finally, some customization comes into play, with one player creating a pirate airship. They even called it the Flying Dutchman. perfect.
As mentioned in the opening paragraph, players in such games always seem to inevitably gravitate towards creating flying machines! They don’t take long either – in Kingdom Tears we saw multi-purpose flying machines everywhere on day two. For LEGO Fortnite, this has been true from day one. This phenomenon really deserves a name.
