The Super Mario LEGO sets are very popular – and on the occasion of today’s Mario Day, supplies have now been announced. Now the fun racer Mario Kart is actually getting its own LEGO offshoot.

Nintendo and LEGO are working together again and have now announced a fresh game set based on the Mario Kart franchise on the occasion of today’s Mario Day. After the Super Mario sets from LEGO have already enjoyed greater popularity, they are now going one step further.

The Danish toy manufacturer will therefore launch the new Mario Kart offering in 2025. While a specific release date is still pending, the offer coincides with the five-year anniversary since the release of the first LEGO Super Mario set. Further details about the specific contents of the set are still open.

Historically, LEGO Super Mario sets were often released in late summer or early fall. The five-year anniversary is therefore also scheduled for August 2025. It remains to be seen when the new set or sets will actually be shown.

Meanwhile, three other Super Mario sets from LEGO have already been presented in the Mario Day 2024 stream and will be released in the near future. Battle with Roy at Peach’s Castle, Bowser Express Train and King Boo’s Haunted Mansion. However, all three new sets do not yet have a specific release date and exact prices have not yet been announced. Based on the number of LEGO bricks included and the products already available, it can be assumed that they will probably cost between 75 and 150 dollars.
