The LEGO sets for Super Mario turned out to be a box office hit and since then numerous video game fans have also wanted corresponding conversions to The Legend of Zelda. These could actually be on the way – at least current events suggest that.
LEGO is a true cult brand that inspires collectors from all kinds of entertainment brands when new sets for their favorite brands are released. The cooperation with Nintendo also turned out to be a real bestseller, because the countless Super Mario sets are selling like hot cakes. Among other things, you can recreate Peach’s castle or put a monstrous Bowser in block format on the table if you want.
Since then, Nintendo fans have been hooked and, above all, want LEGO sets for the next big cult brand, namely Zelda. And one or more such sets may actually be on the way now. At least that’s what current events surrounding a leak suggest.
An actually confidential marketing survey now brought Zelda sets into play, with specific mention of a Deku Tree set. This had leaked onto the internet and was subsequently picked up by various YouTube channels, including Nintendo Prime.
The leak alone is certainly enough for corresponding speculation, but LEGO is now putting the crown on the whole thing, so to speak. The video of Nintendo Prime was removed from YouTube because LEGO complained about copyright infringement. Among other things, it is about “confidential, unpublished news”.
There is now certainty that the leak was real and that the themed set apparently exists at least LEGO internally. The fact that this will finally be published has not yet been finally clarified, but the simple existence and corresponding planning behind the scenes alone should make the hearts of Zelda and LEGO fans beat faster.
