Earlier in April, we reported that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was off to a strong start on Steam, at least for now. It’s now official: The title has become the most successful LEGO title in the video game sector in the initial sales phase.
In a press release today, Warner Bros. Games confirmed that TT Games’ latest LEGO title, spanning and theming all nine films in the Skywalker saga, has achieved the highest-grossing console game launch of a LEGO game ever. In just the first two weeks since release, more than 3.2 million copies of the game have been sold worldwide.
Achieving this total also means selling all editions on each platform – in all regions. In short: LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is not only equally successful overall, but also on the platforms and in individual regions.
Immediately following the release, new character packs for the game have already been released this week. One is themed “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” and includes Jyn Erso, Bodhi Rook, Cassian Andor, K-2SO, Chirrut Îmwe, Baze Malbu and Director Krennic. The second pack, Classic Characters, includes classic variants of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Darth Vader, and Lando Calrissian.
