With LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, the developers are pursuing ambitious goals. Unfortunately, this now means that the publication is noticeably delayed.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga should have been released this spring, but you had to wait until the very end for a specific release date. There is also a reason for this: Unfortunately, the targeted release period cannot be adhered to.
The new LEGO adventure around the well-known sci-fi franchise is set to be the largest and most ambitious of its kind to date and is also available for numerous platforms – namely Switch, PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S. Tr aveller’s Tales must pay tribute to this endeavor.
Via Twitter it was announced that more development time was needed and that the target time window could not be met. However, there is no new release date for the LEGO adaptation of all the new Star Wars films in the main series, or even a fresh time window for the publication. In this regard, they want to express themselves as soon as possible, but only in due course. The waiting time could therefore be a little longer.
The films had previously been picked up in other LEGO titles. Episode I to III were themed in LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game from 2005, followed a year later by LEGO Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy around Episodes IV to VI. Both games were then re-released in 2007 under the name LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga. Then – as in the film series itself – it was initially silent for a longer period until LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released in 2016. Two of the three new episodes, namely “The Last Jedi” from 2017 and “The Rise of Skywalker” from 2019, will be taken up for the first time in the pending new LEGO title.
