The signs of at least one LEGO set based on the successful Zelda brand from Nintendo continue to grow. There is now a potential release period in September.
In recent years there has been a lot of speculation about whether there will be a LEGO set based around Zelda in the future – after all, collaborations between LEGO and Nintendo around Super Mario and Animal Crossing have turned out to be extremely successful and popular. And: There was also an increasing number of voices from the community who wanted a Zelda set with LEGO bricks.
It was fitting that LEGO would allow interested LEGO fans to submit their ideas for Zelda LEGO sets via the idea service as early as 2022. This hasn’t resulted in an official announcement yet, but there seems to be something happening on the LEGO Zelda front.
A new leak now suggests that at least a first corresponding LEGO set could appear this fall – and if that happens, then more Zelda sets certainly wouldn’t be far away either. The LEGO leaker named 1414falconfan, who has been very reliable in the past, is now reporting on this first set. According to him, a Zelda LEGO set called “The Great Deku Tree” is in the works and is expected to be released in September 2024.
1414falcon is no stranger to the scene. Like in a thread ResetEra
If the leaker is right this time too, then the Deku Tree model will consist of 2,500 LEGO parts. An earlier leak also said that the Wild Great Deku Tress should be able to be built in both the versions from Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild. However, there is still no official confirmation, so you should treat this rumor with caution.
In cooperation with Nintendo, LEGO released the first sets based around Super Mario in 2020 and celebrated great success with them. Does Zelda now mark the next chapter in the success story of the LEGO-Nintendo collaboration?
