some rumors are spreading LEGO Zelda The Great Deku Tree set will be released sometime in 2024, and this isn’t the first time we’ve heard of such a set.
Back in 2022, LEGO stopped allowing users to submit Zelda-themed sets on its Ideas service, quickly leading fans to suspect that something official might be available at some point in the future. This shouldn’t be too surprising, given that Nintendo and LEGO already have a partnership through their collaborations on Mario and Animal Crossing. But now, according to LEGO leaker 1414falconfan, a LEGO Zelda set themed to The Great Deku Tree may launch this September (thanks, Nintendo Everything). As noted in the Resetera post, 1414falcon fans are a very reliable leaker when it comes to LEGO sets, as they have previously accurately reported on the LEGO Piranha Factory model before its release.

The set will apparently be 2,500 pieces, and if previous leaks are to be believed, it will allow you to build either the Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild Grand Deku Tree, and will come with a Link minifigure from the former, and a Link from the latter and Zelda. Take this with a grain of salt, as it’s unclear if these images are authentic, although LEGO did file a copyright claim on the YouTube video containing said images, which certainly indicates their legitimacy.
Nintendo’s first LEGO sets were released in 2020, and unsurprisingly, they were themed to the one-and-only Super Mario. The sets offer a few twists on the usual Nintendo formula, with Mario himself having a special body with a screen on top, adding a more video game-like quality to t he set. Via an NFC chip, you can interact with different LEGO bricks and collect points, and there’s even a speaker so he can make his usual wahoo noises. If the Lego Zelda leaks are accurate, it looks like they’ll be taking a more traditional setting route, much like Animal Crossing did, but we’ll have to wait for an official reveal.
