Okay, that sounds bizarre. In Lies of P you take on the role of Pinocchio in search of Master Gepetto. What sounds like kids’ stuff is an extremely dark Souls-like with an atmospheric trailer.
In fact, Lies of P, now announced for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X / S, is inspired by the well-known story of Carlo Collodi. The game apparently has little to do with the original, because it is a genuine Souls-Like, which is based on the Unreal Engine 4 and is well presented.
You actually take on the role of Pinocchio, but in a gloomy Belle Epoque world in which mankind has largely perished. The once beautiful city of Krat has turned into a gloomy hell. In this setting you go in search of Master Gepetto to find out what actually happened and what led to this apocalypse.
Playfully you explore the ruins of Krat and interact with the few survivors. You make weapons from the materials that you find in the game world. Interesting: the more you lie in the interactions, the more human you become, with all the advantages and disadvantages. Apparently there is no lack of role-play elements. Both decisions and an extensive character system, in which you exchange body parts, for example, should be in the game.
There is no date for the game so far, but the gloomy and atmospheric trailer certainly whets your appetite:
