Good news for P fans, the game's upcoming DLC will be released in the first quarter of 2025. Additionally, developer Neowiz is currently developing a sci-fi survival horror game.
We still know very little about this DLC. We have snow-white screenshots provided by the game director earlier this year, but the scope or more details of where we'll go or what we'll do remain a mystery. Still, with a release window set for Q1 2025, we're sure to get a fuller look in the near future!
Neowiz's Round 8 studio is keeping up the momentum gained by the much-loved Lies of P, fueled by this pseudo-roadmap from Korean news site EBN. As for Studio 8's next game, a spokesperson said it will be developed using Unreal Engine 5 and will be available for PC and consoles.

Round 8 says the game will be a “survival horror project set in a sci-fi world” and has begun hiring for the game. When asked by EBN, a spokesperson said that “it's too early to reveal the progress of the project,” although they also noted that this is indeed one of the PC and console games that Round 8 is developing.
The current market for sci-fi horror games is interesting. We've seen some AAA titles get mixed reviews. While Dead Space Remastered was loved by many, it didn't prove popular enough for EA to explore the series more. Then there's Callisto Protocol, a bold but ultimately unsuccessful attempt to launch a new IP in the AAA sci-fi horror space.
One may find more hope and merit in the independent realm. While not exactly the same as the previously mentioned games, Gargling has proven to be extremely popular (that's right, awesome) and has a legion of fans online. You could also point to games in the same genre like Lethal Company, another viral hit, albeit a far cry from the AAA hit that Round 8 might develop.
Ultimately, the genre has matured and deserves more attention. Moreover, Round 8 has proven itself to be a great talent at creating new IP, and it's in the best position to do well. We'll have to sit down and see what it cooks!
