don’t nodoriginal developer behind life is strange series, showing a small trailer for the next game.
It looks like Don’t Nod has a few eggs in its basket right now, as the developer shared an image of one of its next projects on Twitter last week. The image has a strong 90s vibe and is set in a very cozy looking basement complete with a fake cassette-based game console, CRT TV, VCR and a set of VHS tapes to boot. “Here’s a glimpse of what’s in the works at Don’t Nod Montreal!” read the tweet. “Does it bring back childhood memories?”
The main purpose of the tweet was to announce that the developer is hiring for a number of positions at its Montreal studio. From the looks of the graphics, the new game could be closer in style to Life is Strange or Tell Me Why. It’s a stark contrast to the studio’s latest title, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, which was revealed at The Game Awards last month.
Where Life is Strange focuses more on the narrative side of things, Banishers will be an action RPG, though it will also let you make all kinds of important decisions that affect the outcome of the story. Banishers is currently scheduled to launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and is said to be sometime this year.
Apparently, this latest trailer shows an early preview of what Don’t Nod Montreal is developing, so there’s no word on which platforms the game might be coming to, or even when we can expect it to release.
Don’t Nod Montreal spun off from its main Paris-based studio back in 2020, led by Life is Strange executive producer and co-creators Luc Baghadoust and Michel Koch, so this latest trailer It seems so amazing to have the same DNA.
