At the crossroads of the worlds of Harry Potter and One Punch Man
It is still too early to measure success effectively Masha, its TV adaptation (planned for 2023) seemed to have been long awaited by fans of Hajime Koumoto’s manga: eleven volumes have already been published in France (Crunchyroll, Kazé), while it is the fifteenth volume awaited in the archipelago . An expectation that can be explained by the manga’s atypical synopsis, which revisits certain codes of the Harry Potter literary saga while inserting many phases of humor and a specific drawing that can be found in it One punch man or Mob Psycho.
The story takes place in a magical world where the vast majority (if not all) practice magic. Everyone ? No, obviously, since the protagonist of Mashle is called Mash, can’t use it. He lives as a hermit deep in the forest with his grandfather, has a sickly passion for cream puffs and swears by bodybuilding. His secret of not using magic is then discovered and he is threatened with execution as a result. In order to survive, he must enroll in Easton’s Magic Academy and prove that he is the best student there. Then come the weird situations where Mash seems to unknowingly have several tricks up his sleeve.
This TV adaptation by Mashle is therefore expected next spring from April. At the moment, no platform has been announced regarding the transfer simulcast (one hour after the first broadcast) in France.
