This will be Kojima Productions Los Angeles’ first-ever project. An antenna created with the aim of exploiting all the possibilities related to cinema, series and music.
I couldn’t be more excited about this new partnership with Hammerstone Studios. It’s a pivotal moment for the franchise and I’m really excited to be working with them to bring Death Stranding to the big screen.

We are fortunate and honored to have the opportunity to work with the brilliant and legendary Hideo Kojima on his first film adaptation. Unlike other big-budget video game adaptations, this will be something much more intimate and down-to-earth.

Hammerstone Studios is a company that finances, develops and produces independent films. A company that brought out Bill & Ted Face The Music, the barbarian horror feature film, and will also be adapting the short film Kung Fury.
The plot, which is also kept secret, will be slightly different. It will introduce new characters and elements to the franchise universe. Will we see Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux, Mads Mikkelsen or even Guillermo Del Toro in their roles?
This big announcement comes as Death Stranding 2 has been made official.
