There are few things more wonderful than finding references to other games while playing a game you really like. God of War Ragnarök has references to other games for a while. use the Kvasir’s Poems, a collectible in book form, to describe in verse some of the most outstanding PlayStation titles. Next I tell you what they are and where to find them all.
AVISO SPOILERS: This post contains SPOILERS for God of War Ragnarök.
Los Poemas de Kvasir en God of War Ragnarök
Kvasir’s Poems with a collectible in the form of books scattered throughout the nine kingdoms. They are a total of 14, they have a purple halo and are usually very well hidden in their locations. The difficulty of finding them is rewarded by the surprise that each one hides: a nod to a PlayStation game.
The Dawn of Nothing, Poem by Kvasir
The poem is described as “an unusual geniusfrom Kvasir. The title already offers clues, but makes its origin very clear with “Steel-Clad Creatures”, “noble warrior”, “you can submit them” y “fire red hair” y “hunt the beasts”. The poem talks about Horizon Forbidden West. The noble fire-red haired warrior is Aloy!
- Location: Svartalfheim. Follow the starting river to the marked location. Use the geyser (freeze it with the Leviathan axe) to lift yourself up with the stone and access the upper area of the wooden structure.
The terrestrial orb of the great society, Kvasir poem
I admit this one was hard for me to pick up, but all the verses fall into place when you fall for the game. The key clue is “In the hands, a branch. One pitch, one big hit. The public rises”. The image in the book looks like a brooch or shield… but it makes more sense when you think of a ball. The poem references Madden NFL.
- Location: Nidavellir, Svartalfheim. It is in the port, just to the left of where you get off the boat. You need to get the sonic arrows, which Sindri gives you a few meters ahead of the location.
Those of us who remain, part two, Kvasir’s poem
This one has no mystery. The title and the drawing on the cover are unmistakable. It is not necessary to read the poem to know what game it is talking about: The Last of Us Part II. “The cruel and tenacious father and his new adoptive daughter” refers to Joel and Ellie. The first verses talk about the zombies and the last ones about the end of the game, which continues to provoke so much debate today.
- Location: Lyngbakr Island, Svartalfheim. This book of Kvasir’s poems is in the upper front area of the island, next to a red stone chest and in front of a tower. You can see it in the small image. Don’t be scared if the island moves a little…
Ratchet and Plaf, Kvasir Poem
This one may cost younger fans, but PlayStation veterans should grab it on the fly for the book cover alone. The first verses give it away: “One is furry, the other is metal. Friends forever, until the end”. Obviously, the poem refers to Ratchet & Clank.
- Location: Tyr’s prison mine in Sartalfheim. Before going inside, use the crane with the Swords of Chaos to pull the hanging stone to where you are, climb onto it using the swords, then use the Leviathan Ax to change the flow of the water and make the crane return to its original position. with you on top Follow the path and you will find the book.
Abandonment in the afterlife, Poem by Kvasir
Another wink that is unmistakable. The title is not so obvious, but the cover drawing is unmistakable: Death Stranding. The poem is very short and each verse is made up of three words, but it doesn’t need more to describe the game perfectly. The funniest thing is the introductory description. Very funny, Santa Monica Studio.
- Location: South of Alfheim canyons. Going along the main path, look at the edge you see at the bottom of the image, to the left of the stone of anger that is when you pass the logs. As soon as you drop down, turn left and break the vases to enter a small cave.
Visions after the Siesta, Kvasir’s Poem
This poem is not as obvious as the previous ones and the clue that gives away the wink is in the initial description “provides readers with their own storytelling tools”. There is only one possibility and it is the wonderful Dreams. You can create your own games and play other players’ creations.
- Location: Alfheim Temple. Proceed through the temple until you reach the central area of the beam of light with purple crystals hanging. Before entering the room, turn right and you will see a ledge. Use the Swords of Chaos to go up and you will find the book.
Spirits in the Walls, Kvasir’s Poem
This is the most difficult poem to decipher. Not because the poem is bad, but because the game is not as well known as the rest. We are facing a text that talks about the Concrete Genie game.
The official description of the game confirms it: “Create your own street art on the polluted walls of Denska and watch the mischievous genies you paint come to life and come to your aid.
- Location: Alfheim Temple. Advance through the temple until you reach the point that I show you in the image. Once there, go ahead and turn left. The book is on a table. It has no loss.
Celestial Construct, Poema de Kvasir
If the cover of the book hasn’t betrayed the wink, then you should look back, when you bought the PS5 and tried the DualSense triggers with a fun game loaded with nods to PlayStation games. Indeed, this poem by Kvasir talks about AstroBot or Astro PlayRoom.
- Location: skeleton of the beast north of Alfheim desert. Enter through the mouth of the skeleton of the beast and go to the bottom. Climb up the wall with the Swords of Chaos and you will find the book.
Search for a place that is not on the maps, Poema de Kvasir
This sonnet by Kvasir talks about an adventure of a “humble big man who, with cunning and an inheritance ring, yearns for gold to end up well covered”. There is only one character that fits this description in PlayStation games. The poem refers to the unique and incomparable Nathan Drake de Uncharted.
- Location: Wildlands of South Vanaheim. The area is located on the entrance road to the kingdom. It has no loss. When you reach the ruins, look at the ground and use the Blades of Chaos to launch yourself and smash it. Below is the book.
Journey, Kvasir’s Poem
There is not the slightest mystery in this poem. Those who have played this game will have caught the reference as soon as they have seen the cover and seen the title. Indeed, we are before a poem that talks about Journey. If you haven’t played this wonder, you have my blessing to close this post and start playing.
- Location: Northern area of the Forbidden Lands of Alfheim. Look for a tower in the area that marked you on the map and climb to the top. You will find the book in the center.
Eastern Specter, Kvasir’s Poem
This one is super easy! This poem is not western, but eastern. It is a haiku, a short Japanese poem. The brevity of this type of poem forces the poet to mean a lot by saying the least. In case the location and cover has not betrayed the wink, I tell you: Ghost of Tsushima.
- Location: West of The Sinkholes in Vanaheim. Go through the temple to the indicated location and fight the bug that awaits you in that open area. When you’re done, look northwest and look for some vines. Use Freya’s purple arrows and your Swords of Chaos to burn them. Go forward to a dead traveler and you will see it.
An organization: in the future, Kvasir poem
You won’t see them coming. The cover of the book is the only thing that can give away this wink if you are not a fan of the game. I admit that the verse “brooms that shoot fire” is somewhat confusing, but it makes some sense with “the wolf in the slaughterhouse”. The poem speaks of the forgotten The Order: 1886. Future, but not long.
- Location: Jungle Entrance in Vaneheim. Place yourself in the Fast Travel Portal that you see in the image with the same orientation. Follow the path through the cave heading north until you have two jumps to perform. Do a jump and then go through the opening on the left. Keep going and you will find the book next to a corpse of a soldier and a poisonous plant.
Sanguine, Poem by Kvasir
My favorite of all! Another short poem whose most verses are composed of three words. The cover makes the wink evident and the poem finishes off the job. Kvasir referencing the iconic Bloodborne. Much wink, but still no news of a next-gen version…
- Location: Tyr’s prison mine in Sartalfheim. You won’t be able to get it the first time you go there. You have to get the spear to access the area. Enter the same place you came out the first time and keep an eye on the right side of the cave. Stick a spear into the air hole and go up.
The dead do not lead, poem by Kvasir
Kvasir makes it easy for you in the last poem. If the cover hasn’t given away the game, then the poem should make you see it. The “Horses of steel, oil and more leather“They are motorcycles and you suck. Two brothers who go on motorcycles and who fight against the fallen who rise (zombies) and with a past that makes us shudder. There is no doubt that the poem speaks of Days Gone.
- Location: North of the Temple of Tyr in Midgard. You must enter the area and go down some stairs. If you discover a Fast Travel Portal, you’re in the right place. Leaving the portal behind you, turn left and go up a large step (leave the Chest of the Norns on the right). Once up, you can see a climbable wall on the right.
These these are the 14 Poems by Kvasir and their locations! When you get all you will get the trophy Library mouse. Remember that you won’t be able to get all of them during your first pass due to lack of tools like the spear or the purple arrows, so be patient and don’t get obsessed.
