Logitech G introduced a new app via blog entry, which supports various headsets of the G series and should provide more immersion when playing.
The app developed by the audio company Embody appropriately listens to the name Immerse and is supposed to let PC players hear sounds "just as" they would hear sounds in the real world.
What does the app bring?
According to the developers, the advantage of the app is that Immerse reproduces the sound of a game particularly realistically, so that players can understand exactly in which direction an opponent is, for example.
According to TheVerge's editorial team, this works quite well in practice, as they found out in a short test run.

How does »Immerse« work specifically?
To create a personalized sound profile for every user, Immerse relies on a special AI in combination with cloud computing.
Anyone using the app must take a photo of their right ear, which Immerse then uses to calculate the corresponding spatial sound profile within one minute.
