Lollipop Chainsaw Clearly making a comeback in some form or form, it could be one of the year’s more unexpected revivals.
This year seems to be all about bringing back games that no one thought would get a second chance. Lollipop Chainsaw appears to be joining like a kangaroo There’s a new “thing”, but it’s not particularly clear what this thing is at the moment.
Yoshimi Yasuda Dragami Games “Lollipop Chainsaw is back by Dragami Games. Please look forward to it,” tweeted earlier this week. That’s pretty much the entirety of the announcement, without explaining whether it’s a sequel, remake or remake. But we know it exists, so at least it exists.
As VGC noted, Yasuda previously served as the Kadokawa Gamespublished many grasshopper manufacture Games like Lollipop Chainsaw and killer is dead. Yasuda serves as executive producer for both titles.
Yasuda announced last month that he would be leaving Kadokawa to form his new company, Dragami Games, which appears to have taken Lollipop Chainsaw with him.
Lollipop Chainsaw is currently unplayable unless you have both a copy of it and an Xbox 360 or PS3. Unfortunately, Lollipop Chainsaw isn’t backwards compatible on either Xbox One or Series X, and it doesn’t appear to be one of the games that can be streamed over the cloud as part of the PlayStation Plus rebrand.
The announcement comes on the 10th anniversary of the game, which debuted in the US on June 12. Yasuda’s vague statement comes on the 10th anniversary of the game’s June 14 release in Japan.
So far, eclectic game maker and Lollipop Chainsaw director Suda51 has yet to admit what Yasuda is saying, although he does celebrate anniversary Celebrate the game’s anniversary with filmmaker James Gunn.
Do we need the Lollipop Chainsaw back? who knows! Maybe it’s just a cheap money grabbing mobile game, but for a handful of fans, we hope not.
