The developers of Warzone 2 announced that new keys had appeared in Al Mazrah. You could find these in DMZ with the Mid Season Update, and they would grant you access to the new Building 21. The mysterious facility is said to be one of the most dangerous areas on the map, but it also spits out a lot of loot.
Now the update has been released, players have probably already found the first key – but no trace of Building 21. Here we explain why the search for it is currently really in vain. If you want to know what else is in the just launched Season 1 Reloaded, take a look at our article:

Where is Building 21?
The short answer is: Nowhere at the moment. In fact, the area itself doesn’t appear to have been released with the big Mid Season Update yet. For example, the CharlieIntel Twitter account, which regularly and reliably reports on Call of Duty, states that Building 21 is a separate location that should only appear later:

Arguably to do justice to the mysterious nature of the building, it will appear unannounced with an update, so players will have to figure out for themselves how and when to explore the new area. But if you are already exploring a secret base and want to uncover its secrets, then you can at least play the co-op raid:

How do you get into Building 21?
However, it is already partially known how the building will be accessible. So you have to track down a suitable key card in Al Mazrah. Although there is no official information yet, according to players, these can often be found in supply boxes, which you can get in two ways:
- You are waiting for a plane that flies over the map 10 minutes after the game starts and drops 3 supply crates. You can track its trajectory on the map, look for a yellow airplane icon there.
- Alternatively, you can also capture an AI-held anti-aircraft facility. Then a plane marked by a yellow map marker will also drop a supply crate at a random location.
Note that it is not yet clear whether such a box will always contain a key card. So you may have to open several chests. If you have little experience with DMZ, our beginner’s guide will help you further:

If you got hold of a key, you should extract it as soon as possible and keep the key. The building should then be accessible to you once it’s in-game. You probably won’t have to search for it on Al Mazrah though, you can select a new location – Building 21 – from the menu before starting a match.
What’s in Building 21?
The developers have not yet revealed what awaits you there. It is said to be one of the most dangerous areas of DMZ, where there are likely to be numerous strong AI opponents waiting for you. Some sections and rooms are also locked at first and you have to open them with additional key cards.
You will also find particularly valuable loot here and can also unlock the new Chimera assault rifle. However, this is also much easier by completing a small challenge in normal multiplayer:
