It looks like a PlayStation One classic Dinosaur Crisis If the image of the game’s protagonist is any indication, it will be included in the PlayStation Plus Classics catalog.
Various people on social media posted a picture Display Regina’s artwork online. Image via PlayStation Plus storefront in Asia (thanks resetera).
While the artwork does show up in the store, the game itself isn’t available, leading many to believe it will end up on the service.
Developed by Capcom and released in 1999, Dino Crisis is a survival horror and action-adventure game created by Shinji Mikami (founder of Tango Gameworks). The game focuses on the explosion of dinosaurs in various environments on the island, and a group of agents is investigating the research facility.
The last mainline entry in the series, Dino Crisis 3, was released in 2003, and fans have been seeking new entries ever since. Back in 2014, there were rumours that Capcom had begun work on Dino Crisis 4, but nothing came of it. Then in 2019, the company registered a new trademark for Dino Crisis and other classic games, leading many to believe that something was wrong with the series. But again, nothing happened.
The revamped PS Plus launches in Asia on May 24, allowing users in the region to upgrade to one of three new tiers. It launched in the Americas on June 13 and in Europe on June 22.
