The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is an action and adventure game that naturally focuses on one of Tolkien’s iconic characters: Gollum. The antihero begins his epic in the prisons of Barad-DUR, home of Sauron, and is at the center of an adventure fueled by mechanics who focus on his dual personality.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum who will take the form an infiltration game, but also parkour and bring the players to the Mordor, in the mines of Moria and in many other places. Gollum will also interbreed with most of the main characters in Middle-earth, which gives the developers plenty of options. Harald Riegler promises us an exciting story that we will encounter, among other things: the mouth of Sauron, who will be entitled to a face, Thranduil, the father of Legolas, and of course the magician Gandalf the Gray. These three characters were shown for the first time tonight to preview their in-game rendering. As a reminder, Gollum should offer players choices that affect Gollum’s mental health and favor more or less either of his two personalities.
Lord of the Rings: Gollum is set to appear on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and Nintendo Switch in 2022.
