Imagine it’s Sunday lunchtime and you want to play a little game of Lost Ark on the Central Europe servers. If you have survived the hour-long queue and are finally in the game, you are suddenly missing your expensive Crystalline Aura. And since matchmaking has been broken for days, you can also cross group activities like the abyss dungeons right back off your to-do list.
This or something similar is likely to have happened to many Lost Ark players over the weekend who have already entered the MMO at the start of Early Access. Amazon Games has now on Monday night with a extensive statement commented on the ongoing problems. However, this does not give us much hope for an immediate improvement.

The most well-known problem that every player on Asta or other EU Central servers regularly has to deal with is the queues. But as it seems, these will accompany you for a long time.
According to Amazon, the number of players per server cannot be increased further and new servers in the Central European region can no longer be added. Amazon does not mention a prospect of solving the queue problem – it only refers to the new server region of Western Europe.

Character transfer / server change
Many players would be happy to switch servers or even regions if it didn’t mean leaving behind any progress made and money invested. However, Amazon again rejects the hope of character transfers: Although this function was recently integrated into the game in Korea, it does not yet exist in the western version of the game.
In addition, the server transfers have some disadvantages: They only run once a week in Korea and only work within one server region. In this form, it would not be of much use to the Central European servers anyway.
Amazon also rejected the request to be able to use the free power pass (boost to level 50) on other servers.

Matchmaking / Crystalline Aura
For days there has been the problem that the crystalline aura is no longer active for many players after logging in. Besides, they are Matchmaking server completely overloaded at peak timesso entering Chaos Dungeons, Guardian Raids, and other instanced content can sometimes take ages or even be impossible.
According to Amazon, a hotfix was deployed during the night from Sunday to Monday, which should at least partially fix these problems. However, the developers are still working on a long-term solution with Smilegate RPG. We haven’t been able to verify whether the hotfix really helped – since there were already queues again on Monday morning.
