A few days ago SEGA announced the Judgment successor Lost Judgment, but only for consoles. What about the Yakuza spin-off on the PC?
The Yakuza series has regularly made the leap to the PC, but the action-packed new spin-off Lost Judgment was initially only announced for Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, PS5 and PS4. Hope was raised by a passage in the source code of the official website, where references to a PC version could also be found. In this regard, our colleagues from PC Gamer
The answer from a SEGA spokesman gives little hope, because a PC version is definitely not planned at the moment. “The game has been announced for PS5, Xbox Series X / S, PS4 and Xbox One. SEGA has no plans at the moment to bring Lost Judgment to the PC,” said the spokesman.
A corresponding reference to a PC release was previously available on the SEGA Japan website. There was even a Windows 10 and Steam version in addition to the console version was promised. The source code also contained the Steam logo in the context of Lost Judgment. These speculations have now been taken a good deal of wind out of the sails.
It doesn’t have to be evening every day, because just because no PC version is currently planned does not mean that there might not be one at a later point in time. We will of course keep you up to date on further developments.
Lost Judgment will be released on September 24th for current Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
