I had leaked the Japanese PlayStation Store and it has finally been confirmed. Lost Judgment is the name of the new installment of the spin-off of the series Yakuza. Through a direct dedicated to the announcement, Sega has shown gameplay of the title and commented on numerous details.
Once again, we will take control of Takayuki Yagami, our ex-lawyer turned detective from the streets of Kamurocho. As in the 2019 title for PS4, we will once again have to unravel a case full of suspense and with murders included.
The CEO of the Yakuza franchise, Toshihiro Nagoshi, has explained that this time it will be how Yagami faced the consequences of a guilty verdict handed down in a Japanese court. After that, a crime will involve a local institute, which will allow new mechanics and scenarios to explore.
One of the most interesting additions has to do with the area of Yokohama, which the studio has been especially concerned with recreating in detail. A multitude of activities and tasks will be available in this area.
One of the doubts that remained in the air was whether this sequel would adopt the RPG format by turns of Yakuza: Like a Dragon or I would continue to opt for unbridled action. It is enough to see the game shown to know the answer, with brutal and agile movements on the part of the protagonist.
We will have two styles of combat, one more reactive to the blows of the enemies, being able to carry out counterattacks and another much more devastating, being able to send several enemies to fly at the same time. Incidentally, Nagoshi has confirmed in IGN that the two series of games will be distinguished on this particular point.
Investigation capabilities have also been further developed, allowing us new features to spy, stealth stalk, or even parkour and climbing areas that will give us access to new places.
With a release planned for September 24, Lost Judgment It will be released worldwide for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X / S.
