A month after the release of the Aeternum expansion, Amazon's MMO New World reveals a roadmap full of new content for all types of players.
Three years after its release and the recent release of the Aeternum expansion, New World continues to chart its course at its own pace. Amazon's MMO, now available not only on PC but also on PS5 and Xbox Series, still seems to have something up its sleeve to give colonists of all backgrounds a reason to stay or come to this famous New World .
A well-equipped roadmap for New World
Despite numerous difficulties during its release, both in terms of the servers and from a technical point of view (remember that in its early days the game blocked certain graphics cards) or even in terms of the somewhat limited content for its grand ambitions, New World has since then enforced long way. Notably, last month it finally received a major expansion called Aeternum, which also introduced the MMO to consoles, but it was met with a mixed response.
Regardless, Amazon wants to keep its MMO alive and is presenting an extensive roadmap for this purpose. The initial focus is on Season 7 of New World, which will put the spotlight on player-versus-player mode (PvP for short). This takes the form of a new, special map as well as expeditions between the various player guilds. Who says that a new season also means the creation of seasonal worlds, namely dynamic servers with a limited duration, including one with continuous PvP? Please note that if these worlds are closed, the rewards and progress earned will remain intact.
Solo and PvE players won't miss out in New World, as there are new events to test their skills in, as well as world bosses. The MMO will also take advantage of this to bring a certain balance to the fight. After Season 7, Amazon will continue this momentum with new PvP modes, new maps, new endgame activities like raids, and improvements/balancing of existing systems.
