Nintendo has some goodies on offer to celebrate the release of The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom. However, you must be a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber to benefit from this.
The fans dreamed of it, Nintendo did it. After decades of playing the role of a princess in distress, Zelda takes matters into her own hands. Echoes of Wisdom is undoubtedly one of the best Nintendo Switch releases of this year and brings a breath of fresh air to the license. And whoever says new release means new gifts from the Japanese publisher.
Cute gifts for Zelda fans
Today is the big day. Fans can explore the new landscapes of Hyrule, marked by mysterious purple faults. After Link shines in TOTK and breaks all the franchise’s records, he will spend an involuntary vacation in this strange place. The princess takes on the task of saving her loyal swordsman and her subjects. Zelda Echoes of Wisdom is the first solo adventure from the license’s namesake and the result is extremely convincing. To celebrate the release of this new exclusive game, Big N is giving players small gifts. Starting with the one that is available to everyone, one very beautiful wallpaper for your smartphone. Nintendo Switch Online members can complete their avatar collection.
As with any new launch, the gifts are distributed in several steps. This week, subscribers can discover the game’s first icons. Unsurprisingly, it’s Zelda, Link and Tri who get the ball rolling. As usual, you can collect a handful of frames and backgrounds for a few platinum points. Count 10 for each character and the frames and 5 just for the backgrounds. These initial avatars will be available until October 2nd, after which new characters will take over every week. The program will look like this:
- From October 2nd to 9th : Wave 2 with Zelda and the King of Hyrule in focus
- October 9th to 16th : Wave 3 with the Princess and Ganon
- From October 16th to 23rd : Wave 4 with Zelda on horseback, accompanied by Tri and a carrot.
Head to the Nintendo Switch Online section of your console and then “Missions & Rewards” to get your hands on these adorable avatars.
