A whole bunch of Valve assets have been leaked, along with clips from classic games like Team Fortress 2 and Half-Life 2.
As spotted by PC Gamer, game assets include Portal, Team Fortress 2, Conster Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source, Half Life 2: Episodes 1 & 2, and Half Life 2 multiplayer.It comes from a leaker named Leakerwanderer via Disharmony. The dump is a huge one, as it itself contains 61GB of Team Fortress 2 assets, with a ton of files showing a bunch of stuff that didn’t make it into the final game.
In fact, with so much stuff, not everything has been discovered, but what has been discovered may be of interest to fans of the game. TF2 content creator Richter Overtime shared some of the assets found in the leak, writing “Never-before-seen maps, models, shades of PSD and VMF, everything. Once the community digests this (61GB), there’s nothing else to talk about. This is the last official TF2 content you or I will ever see. ”
“I don’t care anymore… I also played with it for a few years and didn’t upload anything because I got threatened every time,” Leakerwanderer wrote in a thread discord chat leakage. “I’ve kept the files since 2016. Most of the archived dates are from when I moved them after the computer exploded in 2019.”
As Eurogamer points out, be careful when looking at the various leaks yourself, as there do seem to be some shared fan-made or fake leaks, so don’t take it at face value (especially when it comes to anything from Half-Life 3, because it doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the barely-existent game).
